Pregabalin is a derivative of the naturally occurring inhibitory neurotransmitter γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) and classified as a depressant by the Drug Enforcement Agency.It is a neurotransmitter modulator that has analgesic, anticonvulsant, anxiolytic, and sleep-modulating properties.
