Description

Lapatinib is a new drug targeted for the treatment of breast cancer developed by GlaxoSmithKline, which was approved for marketing by the US Food and Drug Administration on March 13, 2007. Lapatinib is also highly effective in the Phase I clinical trial of Her-2 overexpression in advanced breast cancer and has no cross-resistance with Herceptin (trastuzumab).
